Get to know me: 10 facts about me

Hey guys,

I've been in this little corner of the Internet for the last month and thought it was about high time you got to know me a bit better, as I personally love getting to know the person behind the writing and while I follow their journey. I wracked my brain and tried to think of the most interesting facts about me (bare with me now) so here goes...

1. I am half Vietnamese from my mums side and half Chinese from my dads side but was born in England and i can dodgily speak Cantonese but not Vietnamese.

2. I don't drink, I'm actually allergic. I tried when I was younger to drink but couldn't stand the taste and reacted badly to the the smallest amount. I guess all things have a silver lining, it's meant I've saved a fortune but found other ways to fritter my wages away...oops!

3. I have a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds. I genuinely loved Biology and Chemistry at school, all thanks to the great teachers i had.

4. I love Christmas and i mean LOVE! I start getting excited in November and will happily listen to Christmas FM on repeat throughout the festive period (yes there is such a thing!)

5. I'm a avid baker, I think is the previous scientist in me. I love following a recipe and being able to produce something delicious, it's just not so great for mine and my bf's waistline though.

6. I pretty much have a hot water bottle/blanket/hoodie on my person (especially at work) all year round. I must be cold blooded, but that might be due to the unpredictable weather in Ireland.

7. I love a good bolognese sauce and give me a chip to dip in ketchup any day, but no, no, no to raw tomatoes urgh!

8. I travelled for a massive chunk of my twenties, and truly believe in the quote "Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer" by Anonymous. I have a bucket list of places I want to visit and each year I make every effort to tick at least one destination off.

9. I have skydived from 15,000ft but would NEVER do a bungee jump. There is a massive difference between being thrown out of a plane in a tandem skydive compared to, choosing to step off a bungee platform of you own free will. Insane!

10. I am a massive Disney fan, when I was younger I used to sit and listen to 'sing a long' VCR cassettes  on repeat, until I had the words memorised. I am very much a big kid at heart.

I hoped you enjoyed getting to know me a bit better. Let me know if you you can relate to any of my random facts.
